Job Summary and QualificationsSupports department by facilitating the delivery of professional, specialized nursing care related to the Trauma Program for the well-being and comfort of patients. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the Trauma Nurse Lead utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation to provide care, documentation and teaching related to acute needs;
and by implementing medically prescribed interventions related to acute care needs in the trauma injured patient. Demonstrates strong trauma clinical assessment, nursing interventions, and strong communication/leadership skills. The Trauma Nurse Lead will assist the trauma clinical coordinators and trauma data analysts with the development, collection, implementation and management of the performance improvement program for Mission Hospitals Trauma Program.

Required Experience:
Three years critical care/trauma experience.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Bachelors Degree
- (CCRN) Critical Care Registered Nurse (Adult), or (TCRN) Trauma Certified Registered Nurse
