RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in 4

Heart, Cardiovascular Progressive Care (CVPC) unit specializing in cardiac and vascular surgery patients

• Patient ratio of 1:5 patients per RN

• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS

• Stepdown and telemetry experience required

• Prior CV surgery and vascular surgery experience preferred

• CVICU experience preferred

• Care for primary patient population including CV surgery, vascular surgery, open heart surgery, thoracic lung surgery, and overflow medical cardiology patients

• Perform typical procedures including epidural management, chest tube management, tube feedings, IV glucommander, and cardiac drip management

• Work with equipment including Baxter IV pumps, CADD epidural pumps, various lifts, and Cerner EMR system

• Minimum of 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday day/night) per 6-week schedule period required

• No on-call requirements

• Must be flexible to work holidays

• May float to any stepdown unit (1:5 ratios), medical-surgical unit (1:6-7 ratios), or ER inpatient holding area (1:6)

• Dress code requires all navy, white tops/navy bottoms, or all white scrubs

• Must be team player who enjoys fast-paced environment and demonstrates flexibility
