Facility Based Crisis Nurse (LPN), Neil Dobbins Facility Based Crisis Center / NIGHT SHIFT

We are hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing functions and consumer care at a Facility Based Crisis Center, including assessment, care, and treatment of clients. The position relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment with limited supervision to deliver quality services to crisis facility clients.

Responsibilities

As a Licensed Practical Nurse you will be responsible for performing nursing assessments and interventions, medication oversight, and administration as needed.

  • Reporting client’s social, psychological and physical behavior as indicated
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimal health care delivery and meet regulatory requirements
  • Implementing policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with confidentiality regulations, HIPAA, national accreditation agency and Continuous Quality Improvement; attending applicable meetings as necessary
  • Using state guidelines, Quality Assurance Plan and Client Rights Policy, ensuring that clinical operations comply with state regulations and update plans and policies as necessary
  • Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, making recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, motivating, disciplining and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Qualifications & Experience

Successful candidates will have:

  • Active and current LPN licensure in the state of employment
  • Two years’ experience working with behavioral health clients (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of psychoactive substance abuse, dependency and the principles and techniques based on best practices, and a commitment to evidence‑based treatment and preventative methods
  • Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance required
Physical Requirements

Regularly required to lift 10 lbs and be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs, pull a minimum of 10 lbs, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; stand and walk regularly; demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.

Must meet vision requirements for close, distance, and peripheral vision, and be able to talk and hear.
