Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Progressive Care RN – North Carolina

Schedule:

Day or Night Shift available; 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling. Weekend requirement of minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period. No call required.
Highlights:
40-bed cardiovascular progressive care unit within a Magnet-designated, award-winning regional medical center
Primary patient population includes CV surgery, vascular surgery, open heart procedures (CABG, valve replacements, TAVR), thoracic surgery, and medical cardiology overflow
1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio in a fast-paced, collaborative stepdown environment
Cerner EMR; advanced equipment including Baxter IV pumps, CADD epidural pumps, and telemetry monitoring
Comprehensive procedures including cardiac drip management, chest tube care, epidural management, and tube feedings
Opportunity to work in the region's premier referral center, recognized nationally for clinical excellence and patient safety
Requirements:
Active North Carolina RN license (or multistate compact license)
Stepdown and telemetry experience required
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Preferred:
Recent cardiovascular surgery or vascular surgery experience, including open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, or fem-pop bypass within the past year
Preferred: CVICU experience
Flexibility to float to other stepdown or medical-surgical units as needed
