Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Cardiovascular Progressive Care – Western North Carolina

Schedule:
Day or Night shift, 12-hour shifts; 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio; minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Highlights:
40-bed cardiovascular progressive care unit specializing in cardiac and vascular surgery patients
Primary patient population includes open heart surgery (CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR), thoracic procedures, and vascular surgery (AAA repair, fem-pop bypass, carotid endarterectomy)
Work in a Magnet-designated facility recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals and recipient of an "A" Hospital Safety Grade
Hands-on experience with cardiac drips, chest tubes, epidurals, and advanced telemetry monitoring using Cerner EMR
No on-call requirements; potential to float to other stepdown or medical-surgical units
Navy and white scrub dress code; collaborative, fast-paced team environment
Requirements:
Active RN license eligible for North Carolina
Minimum 1 year of stepdown and telemetry experience required
ACLS and BLS certification required
Preferred:
Recent cardiovascular surgery or vascular surgery experience; CVICU background a plus
Strong clinical skills in epidural management, chest tube care, cardiac drip titration, and tube feeding administration
