About the Position
Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Progressive Care RN – North Carolina

Schedule:
1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period, no call required
Highlights:
40-bed cardiovascular progressive care unit specializing in cardiac surgery and vascular surgery patients
Care for complex patients including open heart surgery, TAVR, thoracic procedures, and vascular interventions
Work in a Magnet-designated, top 1% nationally ranked hospital with Level II trauma center
Utilize Cerner EMR with advanced equipment including Baxter IV pumps and CADD epidural pumps
Manage cardiac drips, epidurals, chest tubes, and post-operative cardiovascular surgical patients
Collaborative team environment with dedicated charge nurses, PCTs, and unit coordinators
Requirements:
Current RN license in North Carolina (or compact state license)
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Stepdown nursing experience required
Telemetry monitoring experience required
Prior cardiovascular surgery or vascular surgery population experience within the past year strongly preferred
CVICU experience preferred
Competency in managing cardiac drips, epidurals, chest tubes, and tube feedings
Flexibility to float to other stepdown or medical-surgical units as needed
