Travel RN - Transport

GHR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina.

  Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina travel nursing)
• Unit/Setting:
  Inpatient Telemetry / Progressive Care (PCU) overflow unit (mixed level of care: med-surg + step-down)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 02/02/2026
  • End: 05/04/2026)
• Schedule:
  
  36 hours/week
• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12‑hour day shifts)
• Weekends:
  Every other weekend required
• On‑Call:
  None
• EMR/EHR:
  Cerner
• Floating:
  Required to float to other units as needed

• RN
  
  Experience:
  
  At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience (Telemetry/PCU or step‑down nursing experience strongly preferred)
• Clinical
  
  Skills:
  
  Telemetry competency and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (required)
• License: Active RN license in good standing (state requirements apply)
• Professional Fit: Patient‑experience focused, kind, compassionate, adaptable, and a strong team player in a high‑throughput environment

• Deliver safe, high‑quality patient care as a Travel Registered Nurse in a mixed‑acuity Telemetry/PCU overflow environment
• Interpret telemetry rhythms, respond appropriately to changes, and ensure ordered monitoring is initiated and maintained
• Complete focused assessments, prioritize interventions, and escalate concerns quickly in a rapid‑turnover inpatient setting
• Collaborate with charge nurses, RNs, CNAs, and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient flow, throughput, and discharge readiness
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and on time in Cerner (EHR)
• Float to other inpatient units as assigned based on facility needs
• Follow unit dress code: navy and/or white top with navy bottoms (all white permitted)
