Asheville, NC. Job Type: Travel Contract. Duration: 13 weeks. Shift: 3x12s Days. Pay: $1,652.40/week.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Correctional LPN/LVN to provide quality nursing care to individuals within a correctional facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to deliver safe, patient-centered care while maintaining security and professionalism in a correctional environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic nursing care, including patient assessments, vital signs, medication administration, and treatments.
- Assist with triage, sick calls, chronic care, and emergency interventions as needed.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to supervising nurses or physicians.
- Support patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication adherence.
- Document patient care accurately and maintain confidentiality in compliance with facility policies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care plans and ensure continuity of care.
- Follow all safety protocols, infection control standards, and correctional facility regulations.
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program.
- Active and unrestricted LPN/LVN license in NC.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience - correctional.
