Travel RN - GI​/Endoscopy

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring at least 2 years of in-hospital endoscopy experience, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)
• Minimum 2 years of in-hospital endoscopy experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Located on the 3rd floor of a hospital setting, within the Endoscopy unit
• Unit includes a 9-bay Pre-Op area, 4 procedure rooms, and a 6-bay PACU
• Typical procedures include EBUS, bronchoscopy, ION, EGD, colonoscopy, EUS, and ERCP
• Equipment includes Olympus scopes and processors, ION, Olympus ultrasound machine, and ERBE
• EMR systems used:
  Cerner and Provation
• Shift hours are 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Patient ratios are variable depending on daily volume
• On-call requirement: 2 weekend 24‑hour call shifts per 6‑week period, plus 1 night per week of call
• Floating may be required to Main PACU, Phase II, Pre‑Op, or OR (if prior OR experience)
• 13‑week contract
• Pulmonary procedural experience (e.g., bronchoscopy, EBUS) is preferred
• Ideal candidates are flexible and self‑motivated; block scheduling to accommodate extended travel home is not accommodated
• Surgical scrubs are provided
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
