As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with departmental requirements and state nursing standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team, provide compassionate care, and advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision and values.
What you will do in this role- Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration. Administer prescribed medications, monitor for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action for any unintended response.
- Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate needs, and resolve them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring complete understanding.
- Required
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion of a BSN within five years of hire. RNs with 10+ years of experience are exempt. - Preferred Education:
Master’s in Nursing. - Required
Licenses/Certifications:
Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Enhanced Nurse License Compact may apply; confirm with NCBON. - Required Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider.
- Preferred Certification:
National Certification in the specialty area. - Required Experience:
One year of nursing experience.
