Emergency Department Travel Nurse

Job Overview

Emergency Department Travel Nurse – Contract starts July 20, 2026, 13‑week assignment at Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC.

Night shift: 12 hours per day, 3 nights per week.

• Provide nursing care to patients in a 101‑bed Emergency Department.
• Document patient information accurately using Cerner.
• Use AIDET and provide respectful patient experience throughout the visit.
• Maintain patient–RN ratios of 4:1 (up to 7:1 for behavioral holds) and cooperate with unit staffing.
• Adhere to policies for documentation, safety, and patient care.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience, including at least one (1) year in an ED setting.
• Experience in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center preferred.
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS – required by hire; ENPC – required within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work nights and weekends, flexible with shift changes.
• Effective teamwork, coaching, and communication skills.

The assignment is a 13‑week contract beginning July 20, 2026. Compensation includes competitive pay and benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement).

• No floating outside of the ED; open to all ED sections.
• Must adhere to patient experience standards (AIDET, respect).
• Must meet all listed certifications requirements prior to or within 90 days of hire.
