This full-time RN Nurse role is scheduled Monday–Thursday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM and is an on-site position located in Asheville, NC. The RN will provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessments, medication administration, monitoring of symptoms, and coordination of care with the clinical team. Day-to-day responsibilities include documenting care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards, responding to emergent and urgent clinical needs, and supporting residents in following treatment plans.
The RN will collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other staff to promote safety, recovery, and wellness in a community-based setting. The role also involves educating residents and families about mental health, medications, and self-care, while contributing to a respectful, recovery-oriented environment.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience in mental health, psychiatric, residential, or community-based nursing care.
- Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and medication management skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly, document accurately, and collaborate in an interdisciplinary team.
- Commitment to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered care.
- Capacity to work evening hours Monday–Thursday and participate in on-site clinical coverage as needed.
- Competence in using electronic health records and basic computer applications.
- CPR/BLS certification; crisis management or de-escalation training preferred.
- Prior experience working with adults with serious mental illness is strongly preferred.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
