The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis in a specialized renal medicine unit. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Administer peritoneal dialysis treatments as per established protocols
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and clinical conditions
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Utilize EMR (Cerner) for accurate patient documentation and communication
- Current RN licensure in North Carolina
- BLS certification
- Experience in peritoneal dialysis preferred
- Certification as a peritoneal dialysis nurse is a plus
- Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred
