- TEE experience
- Familiarity with chest tube insertions and maintenance
Description:The position is for an experienced RN in the CVICU.
The unit has a total of 16 beds with a patient ratio typically of 2:1 or 1:1.
Occasionally, the ratio may go to 3:1 depending on acuity.
Staffing comprises RNs only with no HUC or PCT available.
Required equipment includes Ventilators, Telemetry, Baxter IV Pump, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and Hypothermia devices.
The documentation system used is Cerner.
Scheduling requires 36 hours per week, with alternating weekends.
Travelers may need to float to various areas as required.
ICU experience is mandatory for this role.
Additional desirable skills include IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience.
The unit performs procedures such as Cardioversion, Central line insertion, EGD, Bronchoscopy, Chest Tube insertions, Pericardiocentesis, and Thoracentesis.
The dress code consists of specific scrub colors.
No pullovers or hoodies are allowed, and green scrubs are only permitted when the uniform is soiled.
