Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location:
Asheville, NC
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing top-notch care in a dynamic environment focused on maternal and newborn safety.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to mothers during labor and delivery.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and manage labor progress effectively.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on labor processes and care plans.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must have at least 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience.
- High-risk obstetric experience is required.
- Immediate newborn care experience is essential.
- Certificates: CPR, BLS, ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
