Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, every other weekend required.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit. This unit serves as an inpatient overflow area accommodating both medical-surgical and step-down patients, with a typical patient turnover of 24 hours. Candidates should possess telemetry competency and experience in progressive care settings.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patient conditions using telemetry equipment.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in a progressive care setting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system (Cerner).
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must have telemetry competency.
- Progressive care experience is required; recent experience preferred.
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
