Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit Nurse
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit, supporting obstetric and gynecological services. The role involves delivering high-quality care for women during labor and delivery, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ conditions and develop individualized care plans for labor and delivery.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs continuously during shifts.
- Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist with childbirth procedures and provide post-delivery care to mothers and newborns.
- Educate patients and family members on childbirth processes, postpartum care, and breastfeeding.
- Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license with valid state credentials.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Labor and Delivery or Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring and obstetric emergency protocols.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and team environments.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
