Travel RN – Labor & Delivery

Asheville, NC

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Labor and Delivery unit with patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
• Assist with and support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and hysterectomy procedures
• Operate and monitor Baxter infusion pumps and Philips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink systems
• Provide immediate newborn care and manage high-risk obstetric patients
• Float to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU units as needed and approved

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Demonstrated competency in immediate newborn care
• Active RN licensure
• Current NRP certification
• Current BLS/ALS certification
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification

• Circulating experience in the OR setting for cesarean sections or other obstetric procedures
• Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality with strong team collaboration skills

• Join a high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit at a nationally recognized regional referral center that includes a Level II trauma center, Level III NICU, and comprehensive stroke center
• Scrubs are provided, and weekend and on-call requirements are not mandatory, offering a balanced travel assignment experience
