Registered Nurse – Mother Baby ​/ Postpartum

Postpartum Nurse

Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a Mother Baby unit. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe, quality patient care and promote positive outcomes for mothers and infants.

Responsibilities:

• Administer postpartum and neonatal nursing care according to unit protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, fetal and maternal status, and administer medications as prescribed.
• Educate new mothers on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, emergency situations, and labor/delivery support as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and active state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of postpartum or Mother Baby unit experience.
• Strong knowledge of postpartum procedures, neonatal care, and patient education.
• Certified in BLS and NRP.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and teaching skills.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
