Nurse Educator
Specialized Nursing Education Specialist
Provide specialized nursing education and support to clinical staff in the IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units. Facilitate ongoing competency validation, staff onboarding, and real-time coaching to ensure high-quality patient care.
Deliver designated clinical education content to nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams.
Support unit-based rounding, reinforcement, and just-in-time coaching for staff and travelers.
Validate staff understanding and competencies through assessments and practical observations.
Document education completion accurately and follow up on barriers to learning.
Collaborate with Nurse Educators and unit leaders to support staff development initiatives.
Assist with re-education and targeted support based on audit findings or observational data.
Hold a valid RN license with at least 3 years of clinical experience in acute or critical care settings.
Demonstrate strong communication, coaching, and teaching skills.
Experience with clinical education, competency validation, or staff onboarding preferred.
Ability to work independently across units, supporting flexible scheduling including nights and weekends.
Proficient in utilizing education tracking tools, dashboards, LMS platforms, or competency checklists.
Enhance nursing education skills through on-the-job training and collaboration with experienced educators.
Develop leadership and coaching capabilities in a dynamic, high-acuity environment.
