Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Progressive Care Unit Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit, ensuring efficient patient management and adherence to clinical protocols. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop personalized care plans based on clinical data and patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV infusions, chest tubes, and PCA pumps, following safety guidelines.
• Monitor patient progress through vital signs, neurological assessments, and other clinical observations.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner).
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety guidelines, and dress code standards, including navy blue scrubs.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 2 years of experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Demonstrated neuro and trauma care experience; preferred.
• Proven ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to float to stepdown and med-surg units when required.
• Knowledge of Cerner EMR platform and clinical equipment handling.
