American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and high-risk/immediate newborn care expertise.

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with 16 beds and a staff of 120 including charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs
• Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
• Performs vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-Hyst procedures
• Uses Baxter pumps and Philips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Charts using Cerner and Fetal Ink EMR systems
• 13-week assignment with a 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM shift schedule
• Weekends and on-call not required but available upon approval
• Floating may be required to MFMU, MOMB, or NICU units

• Active RN license (NC or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• High-risk L&D experience required
• Immediate newborn care experience required
• Circulating experience preferred
• Required certifications: NRP, BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN or NCC-EFM)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)

• Deliver skilled nursing care within a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center serving a Magnet-designated flagship hospital
• Work alongside a collaborative team including charge nurses, PCTs, and CSTs on both day and night shifts
• Scrubs are provided per unit dress code
• Best fit for candidates who are outgoing, friendly, and adaptable
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
