Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Progressive Care
Join a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced Cardiovascular Progressive Care unit. This role involves caring for patients undergoing various cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, including but not limited to open heart surgeries, thoracic lung surgeries, and endovascular procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care to cardiac surgery stepdown patients.
- Manage epidural and chest tubes, participate in tube feedings, and monitor IV gluccomanders.
- Administer cardiac medications and manage related therapies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain appropriate patient ratios and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must have stepdown and telemetry experience.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- Preferred:
Prior experience in a CV surgery and vascular surgery population. - Must possess the ability to float to any stepdown or medical-surgical unit as required.
