Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Progressive Care (CVPC) unit will provide care for patients recovering from cardiovascular and vascular surgeries, including but not limited to open-heart procedures, thoracic lung surgeries, and various vascular interventions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking skills, possess strong telemetry experience, and have a commitment to an efficient and patient-centered care environment.
- Manage care for patients post-cardiac and vascular surgery.
- Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, making necessary adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including cardiac medications as required.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding post-operative care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Experience in a stepdown or telemetry environment is mandatory.
- Preferred experience with cardiovascular surgery patients.
