Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Progressive Care

6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Progressive Care unit will provide care for patients with a primary focus on cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery. This includes managing patients post-surgery for procedures like CABG, TAVR, lobectomy, and more, as well as overflow medical cardiology patients with various cardiovascular diagnoses.
Responsibilities:
- Manage post-surgical care for cardiac and vascular surgery patients.
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
- Perform chest tube management and tube feedings.
- Evaluate and maintain patient care plans.
- Utilize telemetry and IV gluccomander effectively.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must have stepdown and telemetry experience.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- Preferred:
Experience with CV and vascular surgery populations and CVICU.
