American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift position requiring telemetry competency and PCU experience.

• Inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care, including medical-surgical and step-down patients
• 20-bed unit with short-stay patients typically under 24-hour length of stay
• Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 depending on level of care
• All patients requiring telemetry monitoring are hardwired to bedside monitors
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required with no on-call obligations
• Floating to other units required as needed

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry competency required
• Progressive Care experience required
• Recent progressive care experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide nursing care to a mixed population of medical-surgical and step-down patients
• Deliver telemetry monitoring and quick-turnover care in a high-volume overflow unit
• Positive attitude, compassion, and strong teamwork skills are valued traits for this role
• Scrub attire required: navy and/or white top with navy bottoms, or all white
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as no local candidates are accepted
