American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit requiring BLS certification and 2+ years of experience along with NIH Stroke Certification.

• Work on a 36-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
• Day shift ratios of 1:5/6 RN to patient and night shift ratios of 1:6/7 RN to patient
• Uses medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), and VC150 devices in every patient room
• Workstations on wheels provided for every staff member with tap-and-go documentation access
• EMR:
  Cerner
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Floating required to sister Med-Surg units (3W, 5W, K8)
• Must sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday counting as weekend shifts on night shift

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required for Telemetry unit placement
• 2+ years of recent RN experience in Telemetry required
• CMSRN certification encouraged but not required
• BSN, leadership experience, and charge nurse experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

• Prepare patients for procedures including Endoscopy, IR, and OR
• Work alongside a care team including charge nurse, CNAs, HUC, and sitters as staffed to unit grid
• Dress code requires navy blue top and bottom, white top with navy blue bottom, or all white scrubs
• Best fit for hard-working, compassionate, team-oriented candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
