American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in a Level II trauma center with a comprehensive stroke center, requiring at least 1 year of ER experience.

• 101-bed Emergency Department in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center handling over 100,000 visits annually
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
• Equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Documentation via Cerner EMR
• Scheduled shifts run 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
• Every other weekend required, no block scheduling commitments
• No floating outside the ED, but must be willing to float to all sections within the ED

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS prior to start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Level II trauma center and high-volume ED experience preferred
• Comprehensive stroke center experience preferred
• Prior HCA experience preferred
• Strong teamwork skills with ability to coach and give real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED

• Provide emergency nursing care across all ED sections including cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage
• Maintain strong patient experience standards using AIDET principles and consistent patient updates
• Navy scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Department known for strong teamwork and a welcoming culture
• Serves a diverse, multicultural community with over 120 languages represented
• Attendance policy provided on first day
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
