American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care/Clinical Decision Unit role requiring telemetry competency and an active NC or compact RN license.

• Work on a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit with mixed medical-surgical and step-down level of care patients
• Care for short-stay patients (LOS under 24 hours) with quick patient turnover
• Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 depending on level of care
• Telemetry equipment used with all monitored patients hardwired to bedside monitors
• Documentation completed in Cerner EMR
• Shift runs from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend required with no on-call obligations
• Floating to other units required as needed

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Certification required for PCU placement
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience required
• Telemetry competency required for consideration
• Progressive care experience required, with recent progressive care experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Positive, patient-experience focused attitude with strong teamwork skills preferred
• Dress code requires navy and/or white scrub tops with navy bottoms, or all-white attire
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted, no exceptions
