Key responsibilities of the RN – CVICU include:

• Titration of Vesicant Meds
• Familiarity with Pressors, Sedation, and Paralytics
• Experience with Vents, Trachs, and telemetry interpretation
• Understanding of Hemodynamics and PA Catheter set up and interpretation
• Execute procedures such as Cardioversion, EGD, Bronchoscopy, and Central line insertion

Requirements of the RN – CVICU include:

• Experience in ICU settings
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac life support procedures
• CCRN recommended
