  Cerner (experience with Cerner preferred)

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Nurse Practitioner in cardiology or acute care (cardiology NP preferred)
• Active North Carolina Nurse Practitioner license (must be valid for the assignment)
• Active North Carolina DEA registration
• Ability and willingness to work night shifts
• Strong clinical documentation skills;
  Cerner experience a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with interdisciplinary teams

• Round daily on floor-level cardiology patients admitted to or seen in consultation on the general cardiology service line
• Document and maintain accurate clinical records: daily progress notes, event notes, admission H&Ps, consult notes, and discharge summaries
• Order and manage medications, diagnostic testing, and procedures as clinically indicated
• Perform new consults and collaborate closely with attending physicians
• Work collaboratively with hospitalist medicine, cardiology, pulmonary/critical care, and cardiovascular surgery teams
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality acute cardiac care to step-down and cardiology unit patients
