Travel RN – Labor and Delivery

Asheville, NC

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients, including high-risk pregnancies, in a 16-bed unit with 1:1 and 1:2 patient ratios
• Support and assist with vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and hysterectomy procedures
• Perform immediate newborn care and assessments following delivery
• Utilize electronic fetal monitoring equipment and document care accurately using Cerner and Fetal Ink EMR systems
• Operate Baxter infusion pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment in accordance with unit protocols
• Float to related units including MFMU, MOMB, and NICU as needed and upon approval

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• High-risk Labor and Delivery experience required
• Demonstrated competency in immediate newborn care
• Active RN licensure applicable to the state of North Carolina
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Current BLS/ALS certification required
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required

• Circulating experience in the Labor and Delivery or surgical setting
• Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
