Travel RN – Labor and Delivery

Asheville, NC

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients in a 16-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
• Support and assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and hysterectomy procedures
• Perform immediate newborn care and manage high-risk obstetric patients
• Operate Baxter infusion pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink systems
• Float to related units including MFMU, MOMB, and NICU as needed and upon approval

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• High-risk obstetric patient care experience
• Immediate newborn care competency
• Current NRP certification
• Current BLS/ALS and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications

• Circulating experience in the Labor and Delivery setting
• Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality well-suited for a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

• Join a high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit at a nationally recognized regional referral center that includes a Level III NICU and a dedicated children's hospital
• Scrubs are provided, and weekend and on-call requirements are not mandatory, offering a more predictable schedule for travel nurses
