American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab Prep/Recovery RN to provide pre- and post-procedural care for cardiac and vascular patients in a busy interventional radiology and cath lab setting.

• Procedural Pre/Post unit within Radiology Nursing (24 beds)
• Preps and recovers cath lab and EP lab patients including IR, invasive CT, and invasive ultrasound cases
• Patient ratios of 3-4:1 pre/post and 1:1 intraprocedural
• CNA support available in pre/post areas
• Uses IV pumps, specialty beds, bedside monitors, and telemetry boxes
• Charting completed in Cerner
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week
• On-call required 4-5 weekday nights per 6-week schedule
• Weekend rotation required approximately every 10th-11th weekend
• No floating required; unit flexes staff based on volume

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• ACLS and PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• ICU or ED experience required
• Previous IR experience and moderate sedation experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac diagnoses with emphasis on vascular patients, IVDA, chest tubes, and CVA
• Critical care and/or previous procedural experience preferred, IR experience a plus
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required

• Provide pre- and post-procedural nursing care for cardiac and EP lab patients
• Support a Comprehensive Stroke Center with Code Trauma and Code Stroke programs
• Green hospital-issued scrubs required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
