Travel RN – PICU (Nights)

Asheville, NC | Acute Care – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a 9-bed PICU setting with a 1:1–2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform IV starts, urinary catheterizations, central line dressing changes, and assist with lumbar punctures
• Manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, trach care, and tube feeding and placement
• Document all patient care activities using Cerner electronic health records
• Float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed per unit floating policy
• Adhere to scheduling requirements including 3 weekends per 6-week schedule cycle

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact state eligibility)
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of PICU-specific experience
• Proficiency with Alaris infusion pumps and Cerner documentation system

• Experience with pediatric stepdown care (1:2–3 nurse-to-patient ratio)
• Familiarity with ICP monitoring and advanced hemodynamic management in a pediatric population
• Prior travel nursing experience in a PICU or pediatric acute care setting
