Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele LPN with medical/surgical and telemetry experience for a 13-week night shift assignment on a busy 18-bed unit.

• Active LPN license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Medical/surgical nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Proficient in peripheral IV starts, dressing changes, and standard medical/surgical skills
• US Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Work on an 18-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• Staffing includes charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1-2 PCTs per shift
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, SCDs, and prima-fit/primo-fit devices
• EMR system is Cerner Power Chart
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• May float to other medical/surgical units or ED holding medical/surgical patients
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Perform standard medical/surgical nursing duties including peripheral IV starts and dressing changes
• Team-oriented environment valuing positive attitude and willingness to help others
• Travelers are expected to float before permanent staff
• Scrub attire must be all navy, all white, or white top with navy pants, with navy or white undershirts if needed
• Facility is a Magnet-designated, Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
