Join an oncology travel nursing team in Asheville, North Carolina, and make a meaningful impact caring for adult oncology and women’s surgical patients. This on-site travel nursing job offers a 26-week assignment in a supportive 24-bed unit with collaborative staffing, a team-oriented culture, and a patient-focused environment. Asheville is a vibrant mountain community known for its scenic Blue Ridge surroundings, rich arts and culinary scene, and abundant outdoor recreation.

• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 26 weeks, ending April 19, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 p.m. – 7:15 a.m.
• Unit: 24-bed oncology and women’s surgical unit
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:4 to 1:5
• Documentation: Cerner electronic medical record (EMR)
• Call: Rare call requirement

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent registered nursing experience; oncology or medical-surgical nursing experience is strongly preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, patient assessment, and nursing documentation skills
• Team-oriented approach and willingness to learn
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet the scheduled weekend commitment
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based oncology nursing care to adult oncology and women’s surgical patients
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, and monitor patients for changes in condition
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, nursing assistants, and other healthcare team members to coordinate individualized patient care
• Perform and assist with unit procedures, including occasional pelvic examinations, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis care
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, recovery, and ongoing care needs
• Accurately document patient care in the Cerner electronic medical record
• Support a safe, respectful, and collaborative healthcare environment while following hospital policies and clinical standards
• Float to other medical-surgical units only as needed; floating is expected to be infrequent
