ER | Registered Nurse | 16-Week Travel RN Contract – Asheville, NC Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED) | Asheville, North Carolina

Join a high-acuity Emergency Department as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in Asheville, North Carolina. This travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to provide care for a diverse patient population in a Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center environment, supported by a collaborative team known for its welcoming, team-oriented culture. • End Date: February 8, 2027
• Duration: 16 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, approximately 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Scheduling: Scheduling is based on department needs; block scheduling and requested time off are not accommodated
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Patient Population: High-volume, diverse Emergency Department serving medical, behavioral health, trauma, and stroke patients

• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including at least 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume Emergency Department strongly preferred
• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• BLS certification required before submission
• ACLS certification required before submission
• PALS certification required before submission
• TNCC certification required before submission
• NIHSS certification required before submissionENPC certification required before submission
• CPI certification required before the start date
• Strong teamwork, communication, coaching, and real-time feedback skills
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department and float between ED sections as needed

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to Emergency Department patients across a broad range of acuity levels
• Perform focused nursing assessments, triage support, ongoing reassessments, medication administration, and care coordination
• Care for patients in a department with approximately 101 beds and typical ratios of 4:1, with higher ratios possible for behavioral health holds
• Respond effectively to trauma, stroke, cardiac, medical, behavioral health, and other emergent conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, clerks, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Use Baxter infusion pumps, GE monitoring equipment, and Cerner electronic documentation systems
• Demonstrate flexibility by working across all sections of the Emergency Department
• Promote a positive patient experience through respectful communication, AIDET standards, timely updates, and accurate patient information boards
• Support a welcoming, inclusive care environment for a multicultural community representing more than 120 languages
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
