American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a high-volume, Level 2 trauma center Emergency Department requiring TNCC and CPI certifications with holiday coverage during the contract period.
Details- Emergency Care Center unit with 101 beds
- Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
- Techs available for cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage, and unit clerk support
- Equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors
- Documentation completed in Cerner
- Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Every other weekend required, no block scheduling accommodations
- No floating outside the ED, but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
- 16-week assignment with holiday coverage required and no RTO or special scheduling accommodations
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and ENPC prior to consideration, with CPI required prior to start date
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting required
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) preferred
- Previous HCA experience preferred
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Deliver patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department setting
- Uphold AIDET and patient experience standards, including updated communication boards and consistent patient updates throughout the visit
- Navy scrubs required as part of the dress code
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
- First-time travelers may be considered
