** Every other weekend required, no call, holiday rotation assistance required
** Highlights:** - 40-bed Clinical Decision/Direct Admit Unit focused on ED decompression and enhanced throughput with fast-paced, quick-turnover environment
- Patient ratios of 1:5 for Step-Down/combined assignments and 1:6 for Med-Surg, with goal of free charge nurse and 1-2 CNAs based on volume
- Cerner documentation system with Baxter IV pumps; minimal bedside procedures due to unit environment
- Flexible float opportunities including CMU Telemetry Unit and ED Transport positions for qualified nurses
- Scrub color:
Navy Blue/White or combination of the two colors (no t-shirts)- Extension requests common among travel nurses, with some staying multiple years
** Requirements:** - Minimum 2 years recent Medical-Surgical, Telemetry (remote), and Step-Down (PCU) level experience preferred- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Positive attitude with strong focus on teamwork in a fast-paced environment
- Well-rounded clinical background to care for patients with wide variety of diagnoses
- Charge Nurse experience or willingness to consider appreciated
- Expected to float to other units within skill set as needed
