Quality Inspector (Avery Creek) - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Quality Inspector (Avery Creek) – 2nd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $23 per hour. Core hours are 4:00pm–2:30am. Salary information is a general guideline only and will depend on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.

The Quality Inspector will perform final and in-process quality inspections to support manufacturing operations, ensuring product conformance to specification.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform final and in-process inspections across multiple product lines to deliver quality products to customers.
• Perform containment actions for quality issues, including inspecting suspect product and validating responsible processes.
• Support Quality Engineering in improving CONC, Warranty PPM, Final Yield, Rolled Throughput Yield, and Supplier PPM.
• Assist in resolving NCMRs and related problem solving.
• Collect and input quality data into databases and software (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Test Data Management System, Customer Quality Management System, MQ1).
• Monitor and enforce quality procedures per ISO 9001 requirements.
• Interact with the front‑end engineering team to resolve defects and solve complex specification problems.

• 2‑year associate’s degree or high‑school diploma with 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• 1 year of quality inspection experience.
• No relocation benefit; applicants must reside within 50 miles of the work location (Active‑Duty military service members exempt).

• Previous experience with AS400.
• Previous experience with computer usage for work‑related tasks.

• Able to lift 30lb – waist, shoulder, overhead.
• Working knowledge of multiple product lines or multiple work centers within a product line throughout the plant.
• Working knowledge of ENOVIA/Plant Order Manager.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings and engineering job packet.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical assemblies and application.
• Proven history of safe work habits.
• Must work effectively without direct supervision.
• Basic computer skills (email communication, computer navigation).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to resolve problems.
• Effective communication skills within a team and to key stakeholders.
• Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends.
• Availability to be on‑call as required and flexible to support business and team needs.
