Archaeological Technician
TRC has an immediate opening for an Archaeological Technician in our Southeastern US cultural resource program. This person may participate in all types of archaeological field projects, ranging from small local surveys through large, multi-state projects.
The Archaeological Field Technician will work closely with other TRC archaeologists in TRC's Planning, Permitting, and Licensing practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with other TRC archaeologists in TRC's Planning, Permitting, and Licensing practice.
- Being enthusiastic about work with a strong commitment to client service and technical excellence.
- Enjoying the challenges of working alongside others in a fast-paced environment and helping to develop effective solutions to both expected and unexpected project challenges.
- Requiring regular travel away from home and some projects may require overtime and/or extended workdays and work weeks.
- Candidates will be required to walk long distances and perform physically demanding tasks in varying environments and conditions (i.e. steep terrain, heat, cold). Employment with TRC is subject to the successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
- Abide by Company policies and procedures.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- A BA degree in Anthropology or a related field.
- Some archaeological field experience in the Texas/Central Plains preferred but not necessary.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to work closely with others as part of a larger project team.
- A commitment to quality and safety.
- A strong work ethic.
- Three professional references with contact information (include with resume).
Candidates are required to successfully pass a drug test prior to employment or within five working days from date of hire in addition to a pre-employment background check, physical and motor vehicle records check.

Compensation:
In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation:
Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
Salary Range: USD $24.26 - USD $29.85 /Hr.
