The Market Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Asheville, NC, responsible for driving revenue growth across assigned hotel properties and markets. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing key corporate, group, and travel agency accounts, and cultivating new business opportunities through regular outreach, networking, and site visits. The Market Sales Manager will analyze market trends, prepare sales forecasts and reports, and collaborate with property-level teams to optimize pricing, promotions, and packages.
Daily responsibilities include conducting sales calls, responding to inquiries and RFPs, attending industry events, and maintaining accurate records in the sales CRM. The individual will work closely with operations and revenue management to ensure alignment between sales initiatives, brand standards, and guest experience goals.
- Demonstrated experience in hotel or hospitality sales, including account management and business development in relevant markets.
- Strong skills in relationship building, negotiation, and client service to maintain and grow key accounts.
- Ability to analyze market data, prepare sales reports, and use revenue and CRM tools to inform sales strategies.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to collaborate across property teams and leadership.
- Proven organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple properties, priorities, and deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, particularly hotel sales or revenue-focused roles, is highly desirable.
- Willingness to work on-site in Asheville, NC, with occasional travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
