Unarmed Hotel Security Officer

Sheepdog Protective Services is seeking a professional Unarmed Security Guard to provide overnight roaming security at a hotel property. This role focuses on visibility, customer service, patrol, documentation, and proactive issue prevention. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail‑oriented, and understands that strong security starts with presence, communication, and judgment.

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the property
• Conduct routine and randomized foot patrols across all assigned floors and areas
• Monitor guest and employee activity to deter unauthorized behavior
• Assist guests and staff in a courteous, service‑oriented manner
• Identify, document, and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or maintenance issues
• Accurately complete daily activity reports and incident documentation
• Notify Asheville Police Department when issues exceed the scope of unarmed security and fully document the incident
• Record the entry of all emergency vehicles onto the property

• Valid North Carolina Unarmed Guard Registration (or ability to obtain)
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods
• Strong written communication skills for reporting
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in dynamic situations
• Prior security, hospitality, or customer‑facing experience preferred (not required)
