We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Correctional Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within the Lincoln County Jail. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage conflicts effectively.
Job Duties- Regularly and predictably reporting for work
- Maintaining security and control in the jail
- Intervening to stop disturbances
- Administering first aid
- Conducting searches and inspections
- Surveillance of inmates
- Care and custody of inmates
- Preparing reports and other paperwork
- Correctional Officers are required to work weekends, nights, holidays and overtime as shift rotations dictate
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
- No felony convictions, satisfactory completion of all required training during time period as established by the agency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
