Innovex Renovations is Asheville’s premier luxury remodeling company, specializing in high-end, fine-finish, live-in remodels throughout downtown Asheville. We are currently seeking a dependable and skilled Tile Helper to work directly with our in-house tile setter on residential and commercial renovation projects.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience assisting with tile installation who takes pride in precision, cleanliness, and quality craftsmanship. You will play a key role in supporting tile installations from prep through completion while maintaining the high standards expected in luxury, occupied homes.

While this role is primarily focused on tile work, Innovex operates with multiple in-house trades. There may be times when the Tile Helper is asked to assist other crew members (carpentry, painting, site prep, etc.), so the ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, and comfortable supporting the project wherever needed.

Compensation

$18 – $22 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead tile setter with all phases of tile installation, including prep, layout, installation, and cleanup
• Mix tile thin-set mortar and other setting materials to the proper consistency
• Cut tile accurately using wet saws and snap cutters
• Assist with the installation of waterproofing systems (showers, bathrooms, wet areas, etc.)
• Perform job site prep, including protecting finished surfaces and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
• Load, unload, and stage tile, tools, and materials so everything is accessible and efficient
• Remove debris, excess materials, and tools daily to maintain clean, professional job sites
• Follow all job site safety procedures and company standards
• Work closely with other trades while respecting live-in client environments
• Provide general support to other in-house trades as needed to help keep projects moving efficiently

• Prior experience assisting with tile installation strongly preferred
• Experience cutting tile using wet saws and snap cutters
• Experience mixing thin-set mortar and related tile materials
• Familiarity with tile waterproofing systems is a strong plus
• Willingness to assist with other trades when needed in a remodel environment
• Ability to take direction, work efficiently, and support a lead installer
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Physically capable of lifting materials, kneeling, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive tasks
• Positive attitude, punctuality, and professionalism are required

$18 - $22 hourly
