Position OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Installation Mechanic Helper to join our fast‑growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can‑do attitude, strong problem‑solving skills, and a high level of customer service.
Job Responsibilities- Help technicians install equipment and duct work
- Assist technicians in completing daily paperwork and record materials used on each job accurately
- Learn to fabricate duct fittings and layout jobs
- Understand how to read a blueprint
- Perform all jobs with safety first in mind
- Engage in continual learning through First Call Academy to ensure a high skill level in the industry
- Maintain an elite level of customer service to be the first call for HVAC needs
- 1–2 years of experience in install mechanics
- Valid driver license with acceptable driving record
- Availability to work flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to frequently lift 75 pounds and carry items up to 50 pounds
- Physical ability to work in awkward places and from ladders or scaffolding as required by projects
- Language‑Related Skills – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write correspondence; present information effectively to customers, clients, and employees.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rate, ratio, and percent; interpret graphs.
- Reasoning Ability – Apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions; solve problems with multiple concrete variables; prioritize tasks with mental stamina.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
