Asheville, NC Seeking meaningful employment? Become a Direct Support Professional with Skill Creations, Inc., a nonprofit agency helping people with disabilities reach their personal goals. $175 per overnight shift, including sleep. $20/hr during daytime services. Part time and full time available. We are seeking an active, playful individual to support a woman with autism. The position will include daytime work as well as overnight shifts running from 6pm-10am.

Schedule and hours will be determined with your input. Job will be performed at her apartment in South Asheville as well as out in the community. This person enjoys movies, bowling, mermaids, and karaoke. She values silliness and having fun. It is important that she expend plenty of energy daily in order to promote sleep and mental wellbeing; she spends hours each day hiking, walking or attending adaptive Crossfit.

Due to personal care needs, we are seeking a female DSP.

This role includes:
Encouraging and overseeing morning and evening routines Exercising together and providing motivation Preparing meals with her assistance Assisting her in keeping her apartment clean and organized Taking her out and about in the community (YMCA, bowling, Crossfit, social visits) Maintaining her health and safety

Requirements High School, GED, or College Transcript Valid NC Driver's license and acceptable Driving Record. Personal vehicle for transporting client. Criminal Background Check. Completion of paid training in CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management. Basic computer skills for e-mail, electronic training modules, and data recording. Personal phone with internet access. Ability to lift 50 pounds, and to occasionally balance, bend, stoop, and kneel.

Prompt and regular attendance. Includes working during inclement weather and some holidays, with holiday pay. Ability to meet client-specific needs. Due to personal care needs, this family is seeking a female DSP
