Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

Overview

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Asheville, NC.

Hourly Pay: $17.12 per hour.

Schedule:

First Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm. Pay is weekly.

• Perform warehouse functions which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Products Being Handled:
  Inbound items such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, anchors, etc.
• Equipment:
  Stand-up and Sit-Down Forklifts and Pallet Jacks

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule on various shifts
• Must have a valid Driver s License and meet Ryder s driving qualifications
