Description of Work This position supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing the coordination, receipt, storage, inventory control, issuing, and delivery of all warehouse materials. Work is performed independently with minimal supervision and evaluated based on the efficiency of warehouse operations, administrative procedures, and the accuracy of supply inventories. The role includes supervising two administrative staff within the Shipping & Receiving section and ensuring consistent workflow and compliance with departmental requirements.
Strong communication skills and proficiency with computers, office equipment, and multi-line phone systems are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and issuing inventory.
• Assist the Warehouse Manager in monitoring emergency and relief shipments during natural disasters or other emergencies.
• Oversee timely ordering, receipt, and delivery of inbound materials, and ensure accurate processing of outbound shipment data.
• Support planning and maintenance of staff work schedules to meet departmental deadlines and operational needs.
• Participate in overall warehouse management including inventory monitoring, replenishment, logistics, asset maintenance, and resource allocation.
• Process invoices promptly and ensure accurate documentation.
• Create and manage blanket purchase orders for small purchases and CNTRs; place orders through E Procurement and NCFS.
• Conduct cycle counts and post inventory orders accurately.

Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required . Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
· Documented experience with both NCFS and E-procurement
· Documented experience maintaining accurate records and inventory.
· Documented experience adjusting inventory counts
· Documented experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook The Posting Will Close At 11:59 P.M. The Night Before The End Date This position requires the daily commute to the Central Supply Warehouse, 200 Leagan Drive Raleigh NC. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. The work schedule is Monday – Thursday 6:30am to 5:00pm on non-holiday weeks.
Holiday weeks will be 6:30am to 3:30pm and will include Fridays if the Holiday falls Monday-Thursday.
